A.Ganapathy, a 40-year-old man, spent 12 days in police custody from 24 February to 8 March to assist with investigations into his sibling’s alleged crimes. The man who trades cow’s milk for a living was allegedly brutally beaten by the police with a rubber hose. His mother got a call from a sergeant on 8 March informing her that her son was sent to the hospital. After spending a month at a hospital in Selayang and having his leg amputated, Ganapathy passed away on 20 April.
Ganapathy’s father said that his son’s leg had to be amputated on 11 March after the doctors found out that he had kidney problems. The family claimed that Ganapathy’s health took a turn for the worse after his time in police custody. Additionally, Ganapathy's mother Thanaletchumy claimed that her son told her that the police had beaten him with a rubber hose. Ganapathy’s sister added that she wasn’t allowed to meet her brother when she brought his medication to the police station. Gombak district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe told to a local news media that the police have launched an investigation itno Ganapathy's alleged beatings, but public has questioned why no arrests have been made to this day. Malaysians on social media are calling for the implementation of the IPCMC to avoid such cases happening in the future.

Kugan's family had to forcefully break into the morgue and found Kugan's body. The initial autopsy declared the cause of death to be acute pulmonary edema but the second autopsy found the case of death to be skeletal muscle damage resulting in acute kidney failure.
January, 200939-year-old security guard Sugumar Chelladury ran amok, swinging a steel rod in public and damaging banana trees and flower pots. The policemen subdued him after a brief struggle, with one policeman stepping on his neck while the other handcuffed him twice. Sugumar did not survive the arrest. For four hours, his body was left on the ground, naked, still handcuffed, his face smeared with curry powder. No attempt was made to check on him or transport him to a hospital. The policemen said that he was ‘too large’ to carry into a car.
January, 2013Dhamendran was arrested on May 11 with three others over a gang fight involving firearms. There were also puncture wounds and bruises throughout his body. Dharmendran's lawyer Surendran said someone had also stapled Dharmendran's ear lobes. The police officers beat up Dharmendran while he was in detention and later fabricated the evidence to cover up the violent interrogation. Dharmendran sustained 52 bruises from blunt force trauma which caused “acute massive loss of blood” and eventually led to “hypovolemic shock.”

The CCTV footages from the police station clearly Karuna Nithi was beaten by other inmates and the cops on duty were privy to what happened. he also repeatedly transferred from one cell to another because he was having hallucinations and ranting. This is not the first time an indian being brutally mishandled inside police station in the name of investigation. In 2013, Dharmendran's case the police officers who beat Dharmendran while he was in detention and also fabricated the evidence to cover up the violent interrogation. Tomorrow this same incident might happen to you, me, your family, your friends, neighbors or anyone. Enough is enough, we need to let the respectable authorities to know the seriousness of this issue. Make a post about this issue. Share the seriousness of the incident to your friends and family.
